Your Mind Works is built on the belief that wellbeing and success belong together. This is your space. A place to slow down, reconnect and keep growing, in the middle of a busy, ambitious and very real life. Where wanting success, fulfilment and a life that feels good isn’t too much to ask.
If you’re here, you probably want more from life than just getting by. Maybe something specific is getting in the way, anxiety, trouble sleeping, stress or pain that has become harder to ignore. Perhaps you are doing well but quietly wondering how long you can keep going at this pace. Or maybe you want to better understand your mind, feel more like yourself, or build a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
Whatever brings you here, you’re in the right place. Everyone is welcome, and all journeys are valued and respected.
This is your Space.
Whether you are looking for therapeutic support, coaching or daily wellbeing practices, there is a way to work together that fits where you are right now.
I bring together psychology, therapy, coaching and mindfulness in a way that is practical, evidence-based and down to earth. I help people make sense of what is happening in their mind and body, build skills that work in real life, and reconnect with what matter most.
With 25 years’ experience across psychology, therapy, coaching, building businesses, and pursuing ambitious goals, I understand from the inside what it feels like to be driven and depleted at the same time.
Ambition and wellbeing are not opposites – they’re two sides of the same coin. Meaningful success depends on looking after yourself, and you shouldn’t have to choose between achieving more and feeling well. When they work together, your wellbeing becomes part of what helps you grow.
My MSc in Health Psychology and postgraduate research deepened my understanding of how our minds, bodies, behaviours and experiences are connected, with a particular focus on long-term conditions, chronic pain and the lived experiences of people with fibromyalgia. I also worked within an NHS multidisciplinary pain management team, using cognitive behavioural approaches to support people living with persistent pain.
I later founded Island Equus, an equine-assisted therapy centre combining psychology, education, therapy and my lifelong love of horses. For a decade, it provided alternative education and therapeutic support for children and young people with SEND, those in care, and those facing emotional or behavioural challenges. My connection with the equestrian world remains part of my work today, and I always love supporting riders with confidence, performance and personal growth.
My work has always been about bringing psychology into real life. Over the years, I have supported people in a wide range of settings – from education, healthcare and social care to businesses, workplaces, entrepreneurs, founders and individuals looking for support with their mental health, confidence, clarity, growth and wellbeing.
What connects all of this work is a belief that people need support that is both psychologically informed and practical enough to fit real life. Support that helps people understand themselves more clearly, handle the pressures of everyday life, change what is no longer working, and reconnect with what matters most.
I also know that this work has to fit around real life. I am a mum, I home educate my daughter, I run a business, and I understand the reality of juggling work, family life, children, parents who need more support, and the many responsibilities that come with this stage of life, all while still trying to look after your own wellbeing too.
Today, I bring all of this together through Your Mind Works. Through individual therapy and coaching, specialist programmes, workshops, mindfulness training and workplace wellbeing.
and values
Knowledge
Everything I do is grounded in the science of psychology and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, but I also believe knowledge should feel useful, accessible and human. I have spent years developing my knowledge and training in depth, so I can help you understand not only what can help, but why it helps and how to use it in real life.
Authenticity
Meaningful change begins when you start listening to what genuinely matters to you. Living in alignment with your own values, rather than other people’s expectations, creates change that feels deeper, more honest and more sustainable. This has shaped my own life, and it sits at the heart of how I work.
Freedom
Freedom is being able to live life on your own terms, make choices that feel truly yours, and feel like yourself in the process. I believe everyone deserves that, and it runs through everything I do.
Growth
We are all capable of more than we often realise. Growth is not reserved for a certain kind of person, a certain stage of life, or a time when everything feels easy. I believe change is always possible, and that belief continues to guide the way I work.
Courage
Change takes courage. Asking for support takes courage. So does facing the things you have been putting off because they feel difficult, uncertain or frightening. If you are here, you are already taking a meaningful step. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin, and you do not have to do it alone.

I’ve always felt very relaxed, comfortable & confident.
Safe in your hands.
I felt really supported thoughout and you explained everything really thoroughly and really clearly. I have definitely achieved what I wanted to, with a difference in my ability to relax and to be less worried about things. The biggest change for me is having the courage to be more assertive. I have found therapy has just helped massively. All the different aspects, working step-by-step to get a solution, getting clarity on my thoughts, the audios are just brilliant and the relaxation exercises have all been hugely beneficial too. I always felt very relaxed, comfortable and confident. Safe in your hands. Thank you. It has been amazing. I would absolutely recommend Lucy.

I’m sleeping much better now, and I wake up with much more energy.
I found it really helpful. After a couple of weeks I started to notice quite a big difference in my sleep, and everything was easy to follow and helpful. I regularly use the meditations and Leaves on a Stream, especially when I have the same thought going round, and I know I can go back to the practices whenever I need to. I’m sleeping much better now, and I wake up with much more energy. The diary helped me properly understand what was going on. I’ve also become more confident in other areas. I’ve done new things I wouldn’t have done before, and I feel less worried. I have already recommended Lucy to others.

Knowing that my mind is just doing things that normal minds do has helped me a lot.
Understanding more about myself and knowing that my mind is just doing things that normal minds do has helped me a lot. I’m now much more patient with myself and know what to do when I start to feel anxious. It’s helped me make sense of so many things. I realised I had more ability to cope than I thought, but I needed help learning how to use those skills in the situations I needed them most. I feel much more confident, and learning self-hypnosis has been really helpful.

Learning about how chronic pain works was really helpful, and I finally felt things could get better.
Lucy made me feel at ease and explained everything simply so I understood. Learning about how chronic pain works was really helpful, and I finally felt things could get better. I’d been afraid to move because I always thought it would make things worse, even though my doctor told me to move more. I wish he had explained it properly back then, just knowing it was okay helped no end. The breathing exercises and relaxation helped a lot, and hypnosis really does help with the pain. The pain hasn’t gone, but it doesn’t control me like it did anymore. Thank you for all your help.
